Martin Faynik Transportation Service
I started my transportation service in 1995, driving a metered taxi in the Orlando Area. By the end of the year, I realized I needed to bring on drivers, who, like myself, could provide fun, entertainment and great information about the parks and attractions.
More importantly, I needed great drivers to help me make sure all rides were on time. With planes and trains getting delayed, traffic problems and the occasional vehicle breakdown, it was imperative that I could "duplicate" myself with professional drivers.
Three of my drivers, John, Jean and Santo, have been with me for over 28 years. Before the twin towers came down in 2001, we had 31 drivers. We lost 15 drivers after that tragedy because there was not enough business. With COVID, we went from 16 drivers down to two. I suspended the business for 6 months and then slowly started back. Now business is better than ever.
By the year 2000, I set up videos, slideshows and movies in my vehicle so I could entertain and deliver great tips, information and ideas to passengers as we headed to the attraction hotels.
Over the years we have provided transportation for many travel agent clients, airlines that have to cancel flights and move passengers to other cities in Florida, and getting calls almost daily from the major attraction companies.
